The Different Types of Key Safe Cabinet

First of all there’s the traditional lock and key system that most key safe cabinets use. Usually the combination has 4 sets of numbers which are set on a wheel and can be rolled around when entering in the combination. These styles of key safe cabinet security locks are far more preferable to the traditional lock and key system. An employee can’t lose their set of keys, and if they do forget they just need to be reminded of the code. The combination code can be reset monthly or however frequently you wish. Finally as many people as you tell the code to can use the key safe cabinet.
The electronic key safe cabinet which is also known as the digital key safe cabinet is another system that is similar to the combination key safe cabinet. The difference however is that instead of having a wheel with numbers a digital keypad is used instead. This has all the advantages of the combination key safe cabinet and is also easier to access since this locking system uses a keypad. The only downside to the electronic key safe cabinet is if it’s not made to be water resistant then it’s not a very good idea to place it outside.
The biometric key safe cabinet is the most secure type of key safe cabinet of them all. This requires the user to either have a fingerprint, eye or voice scan before the user can have access to the key safe cabinet. These forms of key safe cabinet are extremely rare and are usually only used in advanced scientific experiments and military testing locations.
Finally there’s the portable key safe cabinet. These forms of key safe cabinet are used when moving keys from one location to another. They often come equipped with a glass door so that the handler is able to see which keys are present inside the portable key safe cabinet.
